About Vinyasa Vibes
Vinyasa Vibes aims to make yoga a safe space for Black children, teens, and adults on the far Southside of Chicago. Through the sounds of R&B, Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop, and the guidance of a Black instructor, we normalize Black culture in yoga and make space for us to access this powerful healing practice.
About the Owner
Bryanhdi Flagg
People of color aren’t majorly represented in mainstream yoga. So, it came as a shock to me when I took my first yoga class in 2017 and the class was led by a Black woman and we were flowing to a Hip-Hop/R&B playlist. From that first class I was hooked, and I knew that yoga was something that I would need to create space for in my life. In 2021, I completed my 200-Hour Hatha Flow Teaching Certification with The Tree Yoga Cooperative whose mission is to use yoga as a tool for liberation. It was a life changing experience that I will be forever grateful for!
In my classes, you can expect a chill yoga flow mostly to the tunes of 90s/2000’s R&B. You will be encouraged to listen to your body as a way to create a deeper understanding of yourself. It is my hope that you can take what you learn about your mind, body, and spirit on the mat and apply it to your everyday life!
Yoga Classes

All classes are to the sounds of a curated playlist of R&B, Neo-Soul, and Hip-Hop. Mats and props are available, but you are welcome to bring your own.

R&B Slow Flow Yoga Tuesdays - 7:00PM

R&B Stretch Yoga Saturdays - 9:00AM
In these weekly classes, you can expect to hear your favorite R&B jams while flowing from pose to pose at a slow pace (slow flow class) and with the intention to lengthen and relax the body (stretch class). Perfect for beginners, these classes create a welcoming space to explore your practice and find inner calm. Come flow with us and let the music elevate your experience!
